Job Description:
A company is looking for a CPC Certified Coder, Remote.
Key Responsibilities
Abstracts and assigns diagnosis and procedure codes from patient
records for billing and reimbursement
Audits medical records to ensure proper coding and compliance with
regulatory agencies
Collaborates with departmental leadership to provide coding
feedback and education on documentation and coding practices
Required Qualifications
High School Education/GED or equivalent preferred
Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of
education/related experience preferred
Two years of coding experience preferred
Two years of healthcare experience preferred
Certification as a CCS, CPC, CIRC, COC, CCS-P, CCA, RHIA, or RHIT
is required
