The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered 75-100% (30-40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UICC Sioux City Clinic.

For nearly 50 years, the health and wellness of our patients has been our primary focus. We see patients for pregnancy care, baby wellness, vaccinations, school and athletic physicals, acute care visits, annual physicals, regular check-ups, mental health, on-site laboratory services and more. Duties to include:

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

    Percent of Time: 75-100% (30-40 hours per week)
    
    Schedule: Monday - Friday; Variable hours accomplished between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, no weekends, no holidays and no on-call time.
    
    Location: Sioux City Clinic in Sioux City, IA (or surrounding clinics based on clinical need or hours)
    
    Pay Grade: 11
    
    Salary: $43,848.32 to $65,332.32 (at 100% time)/ Hourly rate: $20.92 - $31.17 (based on years of experience)
    
    Minimum Eligibility Requirements
    • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support provider Special Qualification/License:
      • Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards. Highly Desired Requirements
        • Previous EPIC experience Desirable Qualifications
          • Ability to demonstrate teamwork and autonomy in all aspects of the role
          • Previous Family Medicine Clinic experience
          • Previous phlebotomy experience
            Staff may be required to receive a passing score on work samples to be considered for this position
